Vision Special Edition - 'Appreciation for Life' Mr. William Peguero Snr
Uploaded on May 10, 2016

"Appreciation for Life" - William Peguero Snr. has been known in our community for many, many years, having moved to the Island after meeting and marrying his beautiful wife Ellen. Together they started a small electronics store 'Sounds & Things (...and things and Things') which became an overnight success and grew so rapidly that they had to move to a larger store almost immediately, then when that became too small (operating from the store as well as from containers parked on the outside of the building stocking extra goods to meet the demands of the ever growing public) they built a larger building, but it did not stop there.

Mr. Pequero shares the early years of moving to the Cayman Islands and what it was like back then and how the times have changed. He shares with us the history behind the liberalization of telecommunication and what was the behind it all.

Share the story of a man who moved to the Cayman and loved the land as if it was his own. Who settled in our community and never left; always looking for ways to improve the lives of the people. Mr. Pequero a man with a keen eye, saw needs in the market that needed to be filled and grew his business accordingly and in the process made available to Cayman for the first time, quality goods at affordable prices.

Today he continues to look for those areas in our markets to make the Cayman Islands a better place to live. He contributes in so many ways to better the lives of the citizens. A truly remarkable man, with such a big heart. When you hear him speak you cannot help but feel the outpouring of appreciation for the people and the country.
